Situation

At Sabre, there was multiple content repository sites for sales and customer support teams to visit to find desired assets. The goal was to consolidate sites to a single source content repository site – Sales Central.

  • Various business units (product, marketing, sales, business operations, etc.) had different platforms (SharePoint, Local Drives, Box, et al) to house resources commonly used by sales and customer support. 
  • Resource documents and materials were often out-dated

Task & Activities

In order to successfully decrease the time to find desired assets used by sales and customer support, creating one location to access content needed to be created.

  • Identified and created a team
  • Isolated and reviewed existing content repositories to determine which will be the central platform
  • Conducted end-user needs survey
  • Conducted end-user usability observation survey
  • Conducted asset audit
  • Developed content management governance practices (what’s published, purged, version control, metadata, etc.)

To meet this GTM launch, a team effort was necessary to meet project and program goals. Here are a few of my contribution to this project.
